trendymatt's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Long time listener, first time caller. Man, grad school is going to kick my boo-tay. After a whirlwind 4-hour class last night, I'm definitely questioning my sanity for signing up for two classes in the five-week summer session. Last night's class covered the equivalent of a little over a week of classes in the regular semester. Sleep will be a commodity for the forseeable future, no doubt. This morning marked my national broadcast radio debut, as I got to share a funny anecdote in this morning's Chat Room on Bob and Sheri. The theme was "It happened at Wal-Mart," and I shared the tale of trying to sell a digital camera to an old man who insisted on knowing where the film was supposed to go in it. After about a half hour of debating, name-calling, and eventually summoning a manager to defuse the situation, the man was sent happily along his way with his new digital camera... and three rolls of 35 millimeter film. I, of course, told the man - in front of my manager, no less - that I was sure he could find a creative place to put all that film. Neither of them got the double entendre, unfortunately. And that was the story I shared with the nation this morning. Bob was really interested in the story, and talked with me for a little while. Sheri didn't seem so excited, which made me sad. I always thought that if I ran into Sheri in real life, we'd get along pretty well. I'm off to be all academic and shit in a few minutes. For anyone expecting one of those interviews from me, I'm working on 'em in between reading and doing actual work at work.
