To all of those adorable freshmen who have taken over the streets of the university and the city at large: Thank you for being way more attractive than any class I have seen previously - and that's including the infamous freshman class of 1997! Not that I'm biased or anything. You are making great strides in beautifying campus. For the male population of the freshman class, thank you for your fascination with tight-fitting Abercrombie t-shirts. You make the view out my office window much more pleasant. For those of you whose parents bought you either an oversized S.U.V. or an unnecessarily sports-tuned Honda, please learn how to drive. And sit up straight while you're driving, please! If you are reclined in the seat to the degree that you can see out your rear windows, you are too far back. Jack that seat up a few notches! And for the attractive guys in dark-rimmed glasses that are starting to populate Common Grounds in the evenings, thank you for just being there. You make my day with every turn of the page of your copy of whatever poetry anthology or political discourse you are reading. If you're looking for me, I'm the one in the back corner reading Walt Whitman.
